This week for reading we have been doing book circles. I am pretty sure I got each role correct though I haven't got any feedback yet...

For the past few weeks our class have been doing 3-way conferences. My one was one Friday night. 3-way conferences are when you, your parents and your teacher come together to talk about your learning and progress at school. Mine went very smoothly... I think.
My two goals are to attain level 4 in writing by the end of the year and to organise a school-wide event.

The Learner Post
Hi
This week we have been learning statistics in maths it was really fun, I did mine about where people live from Thorndon Senior School I can't remember what the outcome was but I think most people live in Wellington City.
In writing we have been doing persuasive letter writing to prepare for our speeches and to learn the basis of it.I have wrote a letter to the Dominion Post to let Wellington know that they need to spend more time with their grandparents they would find out interesting stuff about their ancestry and great old time stories from the olden days.I know how it feels to hear stories like that from my grand dad he visited the pyrimids!!
When he died a month ago I was satisfied that I knew every old time story that came out of his mouth.
In reading we have been learning about book circles we will start it up soon the roles are Discussion Director, Literacy Luminary, Word Wizard, Connector and Illustrator.My favourite is Discussion Director I like asking questions.
I am so excited about my 3-way coference.

Hi!
This term we found out that we are doing science as a topic and we are covering the whole curriculum . Yay.
I am so excited about performing stage challenge again can't wait!!.
Today we had three tests one was a persuasive writing test and we predended we were writing to the Wellington City Council about Thorndon Summer pool opening in winter I hope I did well!!!
Then we did a spelling test it was confusing I think....
And Finally a maths test that I just finished about 15 minutes ago well I better go now.

Me again, only 7 more days until stage challenge yay!!!!
I am so excited about it, it looks so cool!
for maths we are learning geometry it is a challenge but I am willing.
My inquiry is really good but it is not on the wall!!!
Stage challenge needs to still be polished but it does look good.

What's On
Our dance for Stage Challenge is really coming along.
We just need to polish it up a little bit and it will be excellent.
We have been learning about geometry in maths
and I am already learning a lot that I didn’t know before.
At the moment I am finding school very fun.

Hi my name is Lydia
I come from New Zealand and I go to thorndon school.I absolutly LOVE netball and I am in a rep team.
This week was fun we had cross country and I came first but the person who came second was not far behind it was great.Doing the dance was cool to I think we are getting it really good.I want to learn about netball in P.E so we get more people next year.
